Fruition Announces Special Trio Shows, Releases Pro Shot video of Levitate Festival
The Fruition family is due to get a little bit larger this year. Drummer Tyler Thompson and his wife Samantha are expecting a new baby this November, and bassist Jeff Leonard and his partner Amelia had a baby daughter earlier this year. With both looking to take some extra paternity time this winter, Fruition’s 3 singers and primary songwriters - Jay Cobb Anderson, Kellen Asebroek and Mimi Naja - will be playing a series of mostly acoustic trio shows in November and December.
The 5 piece band’s sound is a distinct, harmony driven blend of Americana that’s always been motivated by the desire to serve the song. For these 10 mostly acoustic shows, the songs will be placed even more front and center with stripped back accompaniment by guitar, piano and mandolin. Each night will feature some of the band’s most beloved songs and the stories behind them at some listening rooms built to highlight the songwriter.
The 10 date tour will take them through City Winery venues in DC, Philadelphia, NYC and Boston, and Fairfield’s Stage One in November. December will see the trio visit intimate listening rooms in Seattle, Olympia, Portland, Boise and Salt Lake City. With the full band off the road from Mid October till early 2023, they will forgo their normal New Year’s Eve shows. The full band’s last 4 shows of the year will include a 3 day run in Colorado at the end of the month, and Monterey, CA’s Rebels and Renegades Festival.
The band recently released pro shot footage of their set from this summer’s Levitate Festival which was hosted outside of Boston on their Youtube page and fans can watch it in its entirety here
